Fincantieri: pioneer in green and digital innovation
Pierroberto Folgiero, Chief Executive Officer of Fincantieri Spa, officially joins the Board of Directors of MIB Trieste School of Management.
Since April last year, the manager has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the largest shipbuilding group in Europe and sits now in the School's executive body.
The relationship with Fincantieri, one of the world leaders in shipbuilding and the first for diversification and innovation, is also confirmed by the presence of the company among the members of the MIB Consortium. Moreover, Carlo Giordani, Deputy HR Director of the group, sits in the Corporate Steering Committee of the School.
The appointment of Folgiero to the MIB board of directors happens when Fincantieri is experiencing a phase of growth and great confidence in the markets. Investors are giving credit to the industrial plan presented by Folgiero, based above all on green and digital innovation: "We will foster the digitalization process at all levels with new engineering systems. We also want to be pioneers in robotization. The more we digitize Fincantieri's naval engineering capacity, the more future-proof we will be".
On MIB Trieste School of Management, Folgiero added: "At Fincantieri, we believe that only by developing our most important asset, people, is it possible to achieve successful performance and an effective model of leadership. Our professional community stands out for its potential and ability to work together for a goal of excellence. Therefore, with gratitude, I take the opportunity to share our principles with this prestigious School, which helps shape tomorrow's managers".
Folgiero himself had been a guest of the School on 11 November 2022 on the occasion of the Graduation of the Executive MBA, giving the Commencement Speech, a true praise of Italian talent and creativity.
